We are pleased to introduce the new MILUS collection
HALL 1.1 / STAND A8
Roberto Carlos has become the latest Milus “friend of the brand.” The star footballer visited the company booth at the Geneva Time Exhibition on January 22 and is now the happy owner of a Tirion TriRetrograde TIRI017. During his scintillating career, Carlos, whose speed and stunning curved shots earned him world-wide admiration, played for the Brazilian national team during for three World Cups. After eleven years with Real Madrid, he went on to captain Dagestan’s Anzhi Makhatchkala team, which he continues to coach after retiring from active football in August 2012.
Following on the success of its Shanghai boutique, which opened in May 2011, Milus decided to present its timepieces to the watch enthusiasts of Hong Kong. The brand opened a boutique there in November 2012 in one of Asia’s most prestigious hubs, the World Trade Centre at Causeway Bay. The 900-square-foot space is decorated in an understated beige and brown scheme with bright lighting. Latticework on the walls and the glass dividers were used to give the boutique an animated touch, reflecting the brand’s value statement: “The playful spirit of time”.
The Milus Snow Star Heritage has history. The original watch was included in the US Navy’s “life barter kits” given to US Navy pilots in the 1940s as currency should they be forced to land in unfamiliar territory. On 10 October 2012, the rebuilt Snow Star Heritage was ceremoniously unveiled in Hong Kong. The event began with a short film followed by the presentation of a vintage “life barter kit” by a presenter in 1940s pilot garb. Guests were then invited to appraise and try on the new Snow Star Heritage timepieces, which come with aviation-themed cufflinks.
Milus has a new “friend of the brand”. Mario Suarez, the brilliant midfielder of Atletico de Madrid, will proudly wear two of our flagship models: the Tirion TriRetrograde TIRI017 and TIRI701.
Suarez, 25, began his career in the youth leagues at Atletico de Madrid before earning his spurs playing for Real Valladolid, Celta Vigo and Mallorca. In 2010, he returned to Atletico, becoming one of his home club’s key players. He also won several international trophies for his team.
Mario Suarez shares Milus values such as resilience, commitment to excellence, and competitiveness.
