ORIGINAL ARCHIMÈDES MODEL
SUPER COMPRESSOR
Archimedès by Milus is the modern successor to the Super Compressor of the Seventies with its dramatic proportions, as well as the 666, the original model created a decade earlier.
The Supper Compressor case played an important role in the history of dive watches. Its innovative design utilizes a unique “ compressor” system whereby the case becomes more watertight as the watch descends deeper. As atmospheric pressure increases, the caseback is compressed on the gaskets creating a tighter seal. This was a major selling point back in the 1970s and Super Compressor watches stand tall as some of the most coveted dive watches today.

60 years after its creation, the Archimèdes has evolved technically while remaining faithful to the original aesthetics. Its emblematic dual crown, bi-directional inner rotating bezel, Broad Arrow hour and minute hands, are unmistakable.

THIS WATCH SAVED LIVES
Imagining that US Navy pilots were able to save their lives with the Snow Star only, brings lasting emotion and pride to Milus.
During the mid 20th century, US Navy pilots were given valuable, tradable items along on their missions to ensure their survival. These “life barter kits” contained notably a Milus Snow Star watch. Today, Milus is paying homage to this flagship model from its own history and history in general by reissuing the Snow Star.
