Inspired by the legendary Life Barter Kit carried by American pilots during Pacific missions, this collaboration revisits that spirit of adaptability in a modern and refined context.
Behind the Collaboration
The idea for the Midway Editions wasn’t conceived in a boardroom, but over coffee — at a casual gathering called Watch Café, hosted by a respected Swiss watch journalist Joël A. Grandjean. It was there that Luc Tissot, owner of MILUS, and Fabio Monti, CEO of SWIZA, met for the first time. The two quickly connected over their shared appreciation for heritage, independence, and purposeful design. That exchange became the seed of a collaboration — one that would unite over two centuries of combined Swiss craftsmanship into a singular, limited-edition release.
Inspired by the legendary Life Barter Kit carried by American pilots during the Pacific battles, the Midway Special Edition – Sky Silver brings together two icons of Swiss ingenuity: the MILUS Snow Star and the SWIZA Legacies Knife. This collector’s set reinterprets historical resilience through luminous materials and refined textures.
The Snow Star is dressed in polished 904L steel and paired with a sandbrushed silver dial, while the matching SWIZA knife features hand-polished surfaces and beige leather custom inserts reminiscent of vintage pilot gloves.
